Evangelizing PostModerns

If modernism is characterized by being rational, then post-modernism would seem to be irrational.

You might be a postmodern product of your culture if…

… you think the ultimate offense is to offend at all.
… you want to know, but think no one can know with certainty.
… you don’t want to be preached at, but preach at others through Twitter, Facebook, or Youtube.
… you think faith in Christ and his finished work on the cross is adding a condition to unconditional love.
… you believe in spirituality and otherworldly intervention, but deny Biblical inspiration.

So, how do we evangelize to postmoderns?

Tell them what they know may be wrong. Then, tell them the truth. Preach the reality of sin from God’s word, faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ, his death, burial, and resurrection for salvation from it, and the eternal hope of glory.

It may be that the truth is heard, trusted, and a soul is saved.

“For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.” – 1 Corinthians 1:21

The preaching of the cross is the only pre-modern modern post-modern solution.

For His glory,

Justin “preach” Johnson
