“But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.” – Galatians 1:8
Paul’s statement in Galatians 1:8 poses a fatal problem for every religion or gospel since Paul.
The only God ordained religious system was given to Israel to practice.
When the Lord dispensed his grace to the apostle of the Gentiles he supplanted the Jewish religion with a gospel of faith toward the finished work of Jesus Christ – a gospel of grace to all.
Paul declares he was the “last of all” to see Jesus, and that to him was revealed the mystery of Christ to “fulfil the word of God” (1 Cor 15:8; Col 1:25).
This is why most every religion established since Paul have problems with his apostleship and gospel of grace. It undermines their supposed further revelation.
The historically prevalent churches (Roman, Eastern, etc.) manifest a “Christian religion” with a system of priests, rituals, and works that rival Israel’s, while diminishing or neglecting the dispensation of grace given to Paul.
Paul who warned against preaching any other gospel except his (Peter’s gospel did not fall under this warning as his was given before Paul not after), specifically says to beware of messages from angels.
While there are many problems with false religions since the time of the Bible, what they all have in common is trouble with the apostleship and gospel Christ revealed to the apostle Paul.
If you struggle knowing how they differ from Biblical Christianity, present the gospel preached by Paul. There has been no other gospel given by the Lord since.
