The Super Bowl is the most sincere praise and worship gathering all year.
No one will be sleeping, no second rate performers allowed, no false emotions, no false anointings. The object of praise is clear. Stadiums surround it, people study it, sponsors support it, fans love it.
Conversations have been going on openly without shame for months. Some praise one player, others praise another, but everyone praises the game. I wanted to see the 49ers and Broncos play, but apparently they were not worthy.
The rules are strict: no exceptions. This is not offensive, because everyone knows that the rules are essential to the game.
The winner will be clear. The players have practiced mercilessly, prepared ad nauseum, and sacrificed for the goal, but only one team will be worthy of the trophy.
So much praise, attention, study, sacrifice, and conversation for a corruptible crown.
As saints of God we are pressing on toward an incorruptible crown (1 Cor 9:24-25).Our speech needs to be plain, our doctrine clear, our study continuous, and our execution flawless.
Our praise and worship is not singing and dancing, just as the Super Bowl is not the half time concert. The real praise and worship is the love of the game and how it is played.
Real praise and worship to God is the love for God’s word and right doctrine. We teach this type of worship every Sunday and Tuesday. Join us.
