The function of the body of Christ meeting together
is to edify itself in love.
The presence of new and growing believers zealous
of sound doctrine is encouraging to the older saints.
The presence of old and studied believers strong in the
doctrines of grace is a source of growth for the new saints.
The presence of babes and children in the assembly
gives opportunity for the saints to practice what they
preach.
For everyone there is a function and a purpose to edify
each other. All of us growing into our head, even Christ.
If you do not have such a group, find one, start one, and
involve yourself in its growth. The church needs what you can
supply (Eph 4:16).
