Tomorrow our church celebrates communion.
By church I mean our local group of saints that gather for the intended purpose to see souls saved and saints edified. A church is not merely a Bible study.
By celebrate I mean rejoicing together in the Lord that made us partakers of the body of Christ. Celebration does not include any bitter reflections like the Passover meal did for Israel.
By communion I mean our common union with the Lord Jesus Christ according to the fellowship of the mystery of Christ. Our communion is not with a piece of toast or a shot glass.
Communion is with people of like minds. It takes work to be of the same mind, but it is a pleasure to remember our Head, the Lord Jesus Christ, as the reason why we come together.
The church is supposed to be in communion speaking the truth in love (Eph 4:13-16). Every opportunity we have to celebrate that is a good day.
Tomorrow will be a good day.
We invite those in Christ to join us.
Till He comes,
