GRACE AMBASSADORS

An Old Resolution for a New Year

Justin Johnson

While everyone else is making resolutions to lose weight and exercise more, my resolution is the same every year until the Lord returns (Titus 2:13).

Whereas, James 1:1, 1Peter 2:9, and all of the Hebrew epistles, are continually wrongly applied to the church of this dispensation instead of the twelve tribes of Israel; and

Whereas, 2 Chronicles 7:14, John 14:13, and other covenantal prayer verses are wrongly claimed in millions of prayers across the county; and

Whereas, the so-called birthday of the church is still incorrectly presumed to be on a Jewish feast day where the twelve apostles addressed the twelve tribes and sold all that they had (Acts 2:22, Acts 2:44-45); and

Whereas, Malachi 3:8-10 is still perniciously used to extort those not under the law to tithe to their local church or be cursed by God; and

Whereas, red letters still exist in Bibles that gravely emphasize the law teachings of Jesus in his earthly ministry (Mat 8:4, Mat 5:17, and Mat 23:2-3); and

Whereas, the audience of Romans 4:5 and James 2:24 is perilously ignored making the fruit of the Spirit a required fruit for salvation (Mat 7:17); and

Whereas, the gospel of the kingdom is carelessly proclaimed ignoring the difference between the gospels of John, Jesus, Peter, and Paul; and

Whereas, ministers shamefully ignore the unique apostleship of Paul choosing to combine his ministry with Peter’s; and

Whereas, the gospel is falsely presented as “enduring to the end”, “living a good life”, “being born again”, “receiving Jesus”, “confessing our sins”, and “loving Jesus”; and

Whereas, the cross of Jesus is largely seen as a shame and taught as an example instead of a glorious event according to the mystery of Christ (Gal 6:14); and

Whereas, the preaching of the glorious cross is the sole means through which God would have people saved and come to a knowledge of the truth in this dispensation, although modern church methods see it as foolish (1 Cor 1:18);

Whereas, there are few faithful men who can rightly divide the right Bible with the right heart solving the aforementioned problems (2 Tim 2:2);

Whereas, the revelation of the mystery of Christ is largely still hidden to a majority of Bible believing Christians (Acts 3:21 vs. Romans 16:25, Eph 3:1-6)

Now, therefore, be it resolved that I will continue in the next year making all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery of Jesus Christ which had been hid, but now is revealed, fulfilling the intended purpose of God in Christ for his church (Eph 3:9-21).
