The old saying is, “if you don’t use it you lose it.” It applies
to the word of God working effectually in you.
Once you learn the basics of how to study your Bible rightly
divided there is a tendency to store it in the mental archives
of useful knowledge and Bible trivia but never actually put
it into practice.
The result is “grace people” that do not exhibit grace; right
dividers that try to merge dispensational teaching; and
people who compromise instead of evangelize.
It’s much harder to lose the effect of sound doctrine if it is
used every day.
In your daily Bible reading read a passage from prophecy
and mystery and compare.
Remind yourself of the significance of the mystery of Christ.
Think about how knowing the God’s will in this dispensation
changes the way you live.
If you don’t use the word of God rightly divided, then you will
lose its effectual working in your life.
