There seems to be so much fear in the news lately.
People fear the weather, economic collapse, job loss,
unseen enemies, and unidentified diseases.
It’s about time that God’s ambassadors remember that
God has not given to us the spirit of fear (2 Tim 1:7).
While the world runs and hides in fear, we are told by
our Head not to fear, but to boldly minister in the midst
of affliction and tribulation. We know how to abound
and suffer need.
We have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear:
We are free people! (Rom 8:15, Gal 5:1). Free people
may suffer, but fearful people are shackled. Better to
be free than fearful.
We are not given to fear, but are made more than
conquerors through Christ. Beware that you do not
fall captive to the fear of this world when neither death,
distress, peril, or sword can separate you from the
love of Christ! (Romans 8:35-39)
