“In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:18
The will of God is that you learn to give thanks to God in every thing.
It is natural to say thank you in times of peace and prosperity, but do you say thanks to God as easily in times of heartache and hardship?
The normal reaction in poor circumstances, in sickness, in despair, or in confusion is to beg, request, and whine, but God’s will is that in every thing you give thanks.
There is no situation in which thanksgiving to God is unnecessary. His grace abounds. In every thing give thanks.
What for?
Thank God for his greatness, comfort, wisdom, power, revelation, salvation, forgiveness, longsuffering, his Son, his breathe, and his death for us.
Thank God for eternal life, hope, resurrection, peace, and all spiritual blessings in heaven.
Thank God for creation, bodies, people, time, knowledge, and food.
Thank God for giving it all to you by his grace.
When you learn to give God thanks in every situation you find yourself, then you will have learned to live with the strength of Christ in every thing (Phil 4:13).
Do God’s will and give thanks…every day.
