It is easier for some people to defend their political
freedom than their spiritual freedom.
The fight is always raging for fewer governmental
restraints, more civil liberties, and freedom from
oppressive regimes.
Yet, when people walk into church it seems that
all of that zeal disappears as pastors all over the
country put them in bondage to the law and demand
their covenant tithes under the spiritual authority
granted them by oligarchic denominations.
With all the talk about political freedom and liberty
this weekend, it can be a good time to bring up
the need for liberty in our “church houses”.
It is through the mystery of Christ that we learn
how ungodly people can be taught righteousness
without the law. The answer is in Christ (Titus 2:11-12).
Let’s stop the oppressive practice of putting
Christians back under the law and teach them the
power of operating according to God’s grace.
It’s time to respect the blood bought liberty where
with Christ hath made us free! (Galatians 5:1)
For His glory,
