Dealing With Bible Babies

Toddlers love to play and don’t know how to read, let alone study. You give them a book, and they try to eat it, but just drool all over it. If you take toys away from a toddler they may cry or pout.

The older children grow the more they must be taught to learn and study so that they can operate as adults.

The problem is getting your children to learn and grow for themselves instead of needing to be told.

“When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.” – 1 Cor 13:11

I am not talking about your children, but those who are children in Bible understanding.

Bible toddlers will scream and pout when you take away their precious life verses or and prayer promises for the sake of what is mature doctrine.

You cannot discipline them like a parent, so you must treat them like someone elses child. Be patient, apt to teach, gentle. Sometimes you must give the toy back and wait for them to grow up.

For His Glory,

Justin “babysitter” Johnson
