J.N. Darby was Pauline

John Nelson Darby is both blamed and credited with the founding of dispensationalism.

It turns out both his promoters and his attackers may be wrong, as there were people describing different dispensational schemes before him. Most of them were covenant believers like Isaac Watts and Jon Edwards.

No matter the conclusion to the controversy, Darby did get this one thing right in a letter to William Kelly dated 1865:

“I am daily more convinced that evangelicalism with partial truth is the abandonment of what Paul taught.”

You will get more Bible right the longer you study the mystery of Christ revealed to Paul (2 Tim 2:7).

For His glory,

Justin “Pauline” Johnson
