GRACE AMBASSADORS

Approved By the Word of Truth

Justin Johnson

“Giving no offence in any thing… but in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God,… by the word of truth…” – 2 Corinthians 6:3-7

The word of truth is one of eleven things by which we are instructed to approve ourselves as ministers of God. Yet, the church growth movement would have us believe that in order not to give offence to unbelievers we should dilute, diminish, or conceal altogether the Bible which contains the very word of truth.

By removing the very words of truth which have set us free, these ministries become an obstacle to their followers, blocking their view of the glorious gospel with their stage lights and pyrotechnics.

As a result these so-called churches grow with attendees never experiencing a saving faith which only comes by hearing the word of God (Romans 10:17).

If we have not received God’s grace in vain we ought to prove our service by the word of God, not by comparing ourselves to larger ministries, groups, or vain growth philosophies.

“…but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise. “ – 2 Cor 10:12

Rather we testify to the grace of God with a love unfeigned presenting the truth in power, love, and from a sound mind.

As ministers of God we are approved by the word of truth. To “give no offence in any thing” is to have a pure ministry of preaching the word of truth clearly.
