GRACE AMBASSADORS

An Unfulfilled Kingdom

Justin Johnson

It should be clear to thinking individuals that if we are living in the prophesied kingdom of God then it is extremely lacking in substance.

When Christians fail to rightly divide the scripture God is mocked as irrelevant since the prophecies become lies that don’t mean what they say.  We hear grandiose descriptions of the kingdom of heaven on earth only to look outside our window to witness obvious disparity.

The prophets said we will have longer life in the kingdom:

“There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old;” – Isa 65:20

Nature and the creation are described as having no more curse:

“The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together;…” – Isa 11:6

The Prince of Peace will reign over an earth with no more war!

“they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. ” – Isa 2:4

Though these blessings all would be great to behold when they are fulfilled, we cannot be so naive as to think they are being fulfilled today with the many wars in which our country is involved.

We know these prophecies will be fulfilled as they say since Jesus taught the kingdom with his physical healing and miracles. (Isa 35:5-6)

“But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.” – Mat 12:28

Did not Jesus also teach provision for the physical necessities like food and clothing in the kingdom? (Luke 12:24-29)

“But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you. ” – Luke 12:31

Who actually believes that these verses of the prosperity preachers actually are enforced today?  And let us not forget the many signs that will follow those that believe.

“They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. ” – Mark 16:18

We can believe every word of the Bible and God will not be mocked if we would only respect what God is doing now.  Most of Christianity refuses to admit that God is not building his prophesied kingdom of heaven on earth today.  This is their mistake.

Though he will fulfill his promises to Israel in the future he is not offering a kingdom or a Messiah in this dispensation.

Instead he has revealed the preaching of Jesus Christ according to the revelation of the mystery.  God is saving souls today by the preaching of cross, not establishing a kingdom through miracles and healings.
