Cyrus Ingerson Scofield has long been a lightning rod for dispensationalism, but despite his popularity he was not the first, only, or best dispensational teacher of his time. In this series, we go through the Bible study divisions in Scofield’s most popular book, Rightly Dividing the Word of Truth. We affirm the importance of what he had right, and correct what he had wrong according to revelation of the mystery given to Paul. Dispensational truth did not begin, does not depend, nor does it end with Scofield, but on the necessary divisions found in the Scripture itself.
