Pray or Die

If you study the Bible, pray. Don’t ever stop praying (1 Thess 5:17).

If you don’t know what to pray for, then you are dispensationally in the right place (Rom 8:26). Start by giving thanks to God (1 Thess 5:18). He saved you by his grace, and gave you all spiritual blessings in heavenly places. There is plenty to be thankful for.

When man became thankless, he became godless (Rom 1:21). You can only thank God in prayer. People stopped praying.

Your faith will die without prayer. It will turn into historical knowledge, and eventually to useless information.

Need to reckon the old man dead? Pray.
Want to strengthen your inner man? Pray.
Want to create zeal to do God’s will? Pray.

Prayer is powerful when coupled with a right understanding of God’s word. It will keep your heart and mind through Christ(Phil 4:6).

Listen to last Tuesday’s lesson in Romans 1:8 for a Pauline pattern of prayer.

For His Glory,

Justin Curtis Johnson
