Joy to the World: The story of a man, his music, and his dispensational chart.
Isaac Watts (1674-1748), the Father of English hymnody, penned one of the most popular Christmas songs of all time: Joy to the World. Watts rewrote every Psalm of David with original and poetic language to reflect his beliefs about the “Christian state” instead of the Old Testament Jewish condition.
In the spirit of rewriting songs, we have followed his lead and rewritten many hymns to align with the Bible rightly divided.
Unfortunately, he explains in his booklet on dispensations that we are living in the kingdom now on earth affected his songs that teach we are under the new testament kingdom promised to David in Psalm 98.
